SHOPPING

Today, my friend and i went to mid valley for window shopping. During the walk, we saw a guard caught a adolescent. Here are the conversation between the guard and the adolescent in the mall.

Adolescent : Why are you catching me ?

The guard : Dont ask me why, you should know what you had done just now. Didnt your parent
teach you that stealing is againts the laws ?

Adolescent : I didnt steal the stationery, its was the guy who was in black shirt, he is the one that
put the stationery inside my bag.I was not aware it. I am not his accomplice, please
dont make any judgement without any check.

The guard : You dont need to chicanery. Didnt your parent taught you to be honesty. I will call
the police now. You can tell your fake story infront of the police and your parents
will just feel shame of your action.

From this conversation, the guard was using loaded question that part of the prejudical question to make the public or others automatically assumme that the adolescent is the one who steal the stationery, and the one who dishonest and trying to chicanery in order to get away with this problem without giving any reasonable reason (premises) to support the point of view of the guard.

Its was quite a show at that time because the all the public are paying attention on this conversation, the adolescent was being critize by the public without any proof.

ARGUEMENT

Today i argued with my friend jason over somethings. Here the story, today we went to worked as a part-timer after the class finished. During the working hours, he went to windows shopping, play electromotion, flirt girls and more, he dint even care about his job, his duty, his responsibility and the worst is he left me and let me cope with all the works. All of the sudden, our supervisor appear infront of me, i guess this is the pop up check because the supervisor didnt mention that he will came over today. My supervisor asked me where was the jason, i replied that he was inside the toilet because he was having a terrible stomachache. So,the supervisor waited at the malls for 2 hours, he became very frustrated and say that it is impossible for someone who had a terrible stomachache to stay inside toilet for 2 hours. Then the supervisor started to find his location. The supervisor asked me where was jason again? He hope that i will gave honest asnwer or else he will fired me and jason. In this situation, i had to tell the supervisor that jason was flirting girl now because i dont want lose the job because of jason irresponsibility. Suddenly, the supervisor saw jason was flirting a girl, he was very angry and ordered jason and i go inside his office. Our supervisor started to scold and yeld at us that we dont have any sense of responsibility at all, i was being scolded as being a dishonest staff because i was trying to cover up my friend, then he called me to go back to work. After half an hour, jason came out, he was fired by the supervisor. Jason was very unhappy, he tried to blame me for his irresponsible actions by said:'' why you tell the supervisor that i was flirting girl, are u trying to circumvention me, dont forget that I am the one who achieved the highest sales target and i was the one who introduced this job to you." Then i replied :'' hey, you was using red herring, you was trying to raising the irrelevant issue then claims that the original issue has been settled by the irrelevant diversion. Then jason say that our friend relationship end here today. It really hurt my feeling when he say those words. What a terrible day i have....sigh~~~

LUCKLY

Sigh, what a bad today, i cant book the ticket for the trip i planned few days ago. The tour agent said that the ticket to TAIWAN for the end of october was fully reserved. I really want go to TAIWAN for trip especially enjoy the night view in TAIWAN. Then i sms my friend to informed them that the trip will probably cancel because failure of ticket reservation. All of them replied by said:'' NO WAY!!! there must be have another solution for this " Then i replied by said :" how about we discussed tonight during the dinner ? They all agreered with that.
During the dinner, all of us was very disappointed for the failure of ticket reservation. Then joey said :"how about we find another solution for this problem, of all us was agreered. First, we all DEFINE THE PROBLEM. In this case, the problem is that i have been thinking about how great it would be if we all can go to taiwan for trip but we cant book the ticket for the end of the october ( this is our problem statement). Then we all ANALYSE THE PROBLEM which are does the ticket in another airline was fully reserved, does we must go to the taiwan for the trip ?
Futhermore, we IDENTIFY POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS which are we can go to hongkong or another countries for trip,we can go to the taiwan at mid of the october since our final exam duration didnt reach mid of the month, we eventually can go for trip at begining of november because end of the october and the begining of november are quite near. Finally, we DECIDE ON THE APPROPRIATE ALTERNATIVE which is we will go to taiwan on the mid of october because we wish to go to taiwan and not to another countries. I called the tour agency to reserved the ticket for the mid of the october and the reservation was successfull....thank god for that, and thank to critical thinking teacher that tought us about PROBLEM-SOLVING MODEL....haha...^^

MEETING

Today i went to ING company at klang for meeting. During the meeting, we disucssed about a question which we hardly could get the asnwers, most of my collogue was stucked, and dint really contribute much ideas. After the meeting end, my manager was quite disappointed. All of the sudden, i recalled that i had learn about a technique from critical thinking which i can generate or get more ideas from other people which is BRAIN STORMING. I written down the BRAIN STORMING steps in a paper and pass to my manger. The steps of BRAIN STORMING are
1-Briefing the team about the problem
Define the problem to be brainstormed and make sure every one is clear about the problem
that need to explore.
2- Remember Three Rules of Brainstorming which are generate as many solution as possible- quantity count,wild ideas are encourage, and no criticism is allow,judgemnt is deferred later.
3- Warm up exercise
Conduct a 5 minute warm up exercise in creativity thinking using a simple, familiar object.
Some expert recommend that background music be used during the exerise.
4-Conduct the Brainstorming Activity
•Set a time limit (20 to 30 minutes) and ask the team members to start sharing ideas.
•They can begin by bringing out obvious, well-known ideas .. This is known as “load
dumping”.
•Encourage more creative ideas by occasionally throwing out something really outrageous.
5-Closing-Down
•Once the flow of ideas has slowed down to a trickle and the previously announced time
limit is coming up, give a 3-minute warning. Some of the best ideas can be generated
during the extra time period at the end.
My manager was suprised and happy when he read my suggestion, its was very helpfull. Soon he held the meeting again by using these 5 steps of brain storming. Most of my collogue was contributed alot of ideas especially wild ideas that needed by the manager. After the meeting end, my manager treated us to have lunch in japanese restaurant, haha, that was a enjoyable meal since i dont need to spend my own my pocket money....

BASKETBALL COURT

Today my team and i went to dengkil high school to played a companionship match. Before the match started, my friend advised me to stay calm, play nicely and dont use rough movement in the match, and say that i am the most rough player in the team.I said:''OK, NO PROBLEM!!! Suddenly my friend get treated unwell by the opponent, he started to lose his temper and used a rough movement to get marks. At the end, he was kicked out from the match because he get 5 fault in one game. Zzzz, he is the one who advised me to stay calm, play nicely and dont used rough movement in the match.. bla bla bla...then he was the one who was been kicked out, HE IS THE ONE WHO MOST ROUGH IN THE GAME !!!Well, he cant even hold his temper well, how dare he advised me not to play rough in the game and say i am the most rough in the team ... Oh my gosh, i using TU QUQUE FALLACY which making an arguement that points out someone has the same fault he is accusing the speaker(or writer) of having to attack my team mate....

ARRANGEMENT OF TRIP

I wish to go for trip after the final exam, so tonight i asked my friend AMY,ERIC,TED,JOEY,SAM,ANDY,JERRY,PINKY to come out for dinner and discuss about going to a trip but some of my friends ERIC,PINKY,JOEY cant make it to the dinner due to some reasons. In the discussion, we wish to bring more friends that been disconnect for many years. Therefore, my friend suggested an idea, he said: if AMY goes to the trip,then ERIC definately will goes to the trip, AMY answered she will go to the trip. Therefore ERIC will go. Then i jot down AMY and ERIC name into the name list so i can reserve for hotel room. Suddenly i asked: how about PINKY and JOEY ? SAM answered: if JERRY and TED goes, then JOEY and PINKY goes too. JERRY and TED will to go for trip too since they want to relax after the final exam, therefore PINKY and JOEY will go too. Then i jot down JERRY,TED,PINKY, JOEY and aslo my name into the name list as well. All of the sudden, i find out that i was using predictive arguement which argument that has, as a conclusion, a prediction that part of the inductive arguement which if the premise are true, the conclusion is probably true. Jesus, i might reserve the wrong amount of room....

RUMOUR

Today i went to watched movie with friend,then we had lunch together. During the lunch, we been talked about our friends rumour, which is AH DE, the rumour is about AH DE had broke up with his girl friend that had been dating for more than 5 years. I was shocked and said:'' that is impossible because i called AH DE yesterday and he was in well condition and he intend to marry his girl friend in the end of this year. In this case, IF AH DE break up with his girlfriend(A), then AH DE is lovelorn now(B). AH DE didnt lovelorn now and he was in well condition(B1) therefore AH DE didnt break up with his girl friend(A1). From this case, i'm using modus tones(denying the consequent) part of common pattern of deductive reasoning. This arguement got 2 premises. The first premises is the conditional "if-then" statement, namely that A implies B. The second premises is that B1 is false. From these two premises, it can be logically that A1 must be false as well.
